Circuit to fix the picture noise

My nice little HX516 ccd camera sometimes produced horrible noise on the pictures. No matter were I set the interface potentiometer ? Out came the oscilloscope and off course it then behaved ? In the end I found it happened when my 12v battery got to 11.2v. A breakout cable was placed betwean the PSU and the camera. It seems to have a 1.6v rail for the peltier and a 12v rail for electronics. This 12v rail was 10v on 11.2v dc in but about 12v when mains fed the PSU. On mains the pot had a good 80 degrees of good dark frame 'noisless' range BUT on my 11.2v it would NOT work. The 'boost' circuit below was inserted and I enclose some pictures of dark frames before and after. NO GUARANTEE GIVEN and I hope the extra mAs in boost donnt upset the HX516 lads.
